Can I Use RLcovers If My Steering Wheel Has a Tear?

Yes, our wraps can still work, but there are a few important considerations to keep in mind.

While it may be tempting to remove the original steering wheel cover, we strongly advise against it if you're using our wrap as a solution to repair your wheel. Our wraps are designed based on the original factory dimensions, meaning that if you remove the existing cover, the wheel will become thinner, and the wrap may not fit properly.

Instead, we recommend patching or repairing the torn section before installing our wrap. This ensures that any damage underneath is completely covered and won’t be visible or felt once the wrap is installed.

Will the Cover Damage My Steering Wheel?

Not at all! Our wraps protect and enhance your steering wheel, keeping it in top condition while giving it a fresh, premium look.

The only exception is if your wheel’s outer material is already peeling—removing the wrap later may cause further peeling. If this applies to your wheel, securing any loose material before installation is recommended.

Do You Provide an Installation Service?

Yes, but our installation service is only available in Florida, United States.

For customers outside Florida, we provide detailed installation guides and support to ensure a smooth DIY installation. If you need assistance, feel free to contact us.

Is RLcovers Suitable for Heated Steering Wheels?

Yes! Our leather wrap is only 1.4mm thick, so while it may slightly delay heat transfer, it won’t affect the overall functionality of your heated steering wheel.

Is the Steering Wheel Cover Permanent?

No, our wraps are removable, just like traditional steering wheel covers. If you want to switch styles or replace a worn wrap, simply cut the stitching and remove it.

If you’ve used the included double-sided tape, any residue can be easily wiped off with warm soapy water.

Will the Steering Wheel Cover Fit My Car?

Yes! Our covers are custom-made for specific steering wheels listed in our shop.

If you don’t see your model, send us a photo of your steering wheel, and we’ll confirm if we have a perfect fit for you.
